Morello Cherry Bread Cake with Cardamom

2 eggs
50 g sugar
80 g white bread, finely crumbled
3 green cardamom capsules, seeds only, finely ground
approx. 225 grams sour cherries (preserve), well drained

Beat the eggs with sugar until white and creamy. Combine bread crumbs and cardamom, fold into the egg mixture. Spoon into a greased and floured loaf pan. Distribute the cherries on the batter, sparing a small edge. Bake in preheated oven at 175 deg C for about 40-45 minutes; cover with aluminum foil if the surface gets too dark.
