When you live alone or as a couple and feel like baking, you know the problem: Most recipes for cakes, pies, muffins or cookies make at least four servings. Far too much for you, if you don’t want to eat the same dessert all week long. Kitchenware manufacturers have already reacted: You can buy mini baking pans everywhere. Only the appropriate recipes are few and far between.
This is why I started the monthly event 'Kleine Kuchen', meaning small-batch baking: serving sizes for one or two people.
'Classic' cakes with a maximum diameter of 20 cm are what I have in mind primarily.
Recipes for pies, tarts, muffins, cupcakes, cookies and so forth are of course also welcome. Bake small quantities, just enough for one or two servings: up to a half dozen muffins, three or four tartlets or a handful of cookies – or thereabouts.
To participate in this event, post the recipe of your small cake in your blog and send me an email with the link to your blog entry:

Roundups will be posted on Pinterest.
